Where can I find .32 ammo?

Both MidwayUSA and AIM Surplus had .32 Long in stock the last time I checked. Most .32 H&R Mag loads are out of stock at Midway, but you can backorder them.

I know that .32 H&R Mag availability can be dodgy, but in my experience, .32 Long is fairly easy to find because it's popular enough to be worthwhile for dedicated gun stores to stock it yet it sells slowly enough that it doesn't immediately vanish. Along with 9x18mm Makarov, it was one of two small-caliber centerfire handgun cartridges to consistently remain on my local gun store shelves through the Great Ammo Drought of 2009. :)

thanks guys this all came in handy!

DANG IT MR LUCKY! I woulda bought some of that Serb ammo through you if I knew sooner. But hey, When I get low I know where to go.

I am using this for my Cobra Derringer. Wish some one had the magnums in stock, looks like I will have to bide my time. But the purpose of the gun is pretty much a point blank shot or two into an attacker. I think it will be enough. What say all of you?

The Priv/Partisan ammo is very good quality with brass casings. The company has been making ammo for 75 years in what was Yugoslavia.

Anyhow, I will probably have other manufacturers soon too so keep me in mind.

I can order .32 H&R Mag for you It only costs a buck or two more for a box. The problem is I never get an ETA for ammo. It could come in a week later or it could be months. I don't have much call for .32 long. or Mag.

well chances are I will want JHP .32 mag. While on the subject of .32's, can a .327 shoot the .32 longs and H&R's?

.327 Federal Magnum

Tom,

No, The .327 Federal Magnum is actually a .32 H&R lengthened by 1/8" & with thicker walls for added strength.

Any .327 Mag. Revolver can also fire .32 H&R but the reverse is not true due to the longer 1.2" O.A. length.

You might have to buy a new Ruger SP101 chambered in .327 Magnum. It is a respectable SD round with much less recoil than a .357 Magnum. They have about the same stopping power as a 9mm Luger JHP.

  • Federal Premium 85 grain Hydra-Shot JHP - MV 1330 fps, ME 334 ft. lbs.
  • American Eagle 100 grain SP - MV 1400 fps, ME 435 ft. lbs.
  • Speer 115 grain Gold Dot JHP - MV 1300 fps, ME 431 ft. lbs.

I sell guns too. :)

Well maybe down the road (like a year or so) I will look at getting a Charter Patriot! Would love to have one. A good gun for the money. AND AMERICAN MADE! Good ol' Charter coming back to kick butt as a reliable revolver once again!

The Charter Patriots are a pretty good deal. Chambered in Federal .327, there is either the 2.2" or the 4" barrel. Both are stainless finish. The 2.2" comes with fixed sights. The 4" model comes with adjustable sights. Right now, Charter is packaging all Patriots with a Kershaw 2 1/2" folding knife.
