Where are the online guides?!

So I've been looking for online guides to the whole rifle world and I haven't found anything! I've found many sites that have random tid bits of information, and this forum has alot of knowledge... But I havent found anything that really breaks stuff down bullet point by bullet point. Wikipedia isn't too great for anything unless I look up instance by instance. So for example some guides I would be looking for is

All the rifle terminology explained and calibers explained.

Ballistics for all the different calibers, with correlating windage/dope changes. And ballistics explained in general.

Guides to precision shooting. Step by step, and things to watch out for.

Tactics in placing the shot exactly where you want it(like on one site I read how you can read the heat waves coming off objects to estimate wind)

I know all these things come with being immersed in the community and people showing you. But unfortunatly I'm really busy with school/work so I don't really participate in the community, and just go shoot when I can find time. Ive picked up alot of knowledge from people mentioning things, but I just haven't found one place with everything. Any links would be helpful to me and im sure all the other beginners!
 
There is no ONE PLACE on the internet or anywhere else where you can find all the information you are looking for.

A good start would be the CMP Bookstore (find it with google). They have several books and dvds running about $6.95 each put out by the Army Marksmanship Unit and the Civilian Marksmanship Program...........best shooters in the world.

Anyway that will give you a good start.
 
I tend to read various forums if I am interested in a particular product and start my research there. Then I google online reviews of that product and keep reading. I also like to talk to various folks to help me in forming my opinion as to the suitability of that product for me.

Finally, I go to the store and look at and handle the product. If it's a gun I try to find someone I know that has what I am considering and shoot it. Often, while doing these things I have confirmed my choice or eliminated that choice before spending my hard earned cash.
