Where are all the M&P Sports?

Are there any more Smith and Wesson M&P15 Sports left out there?? All of this demand is gonna drive the price up before I can get my hands on one.... :(
 
smith has relocated their barrel making for the m&p line to their Massachusetts plant and have had some problems so they may be behind in production. I would assume they will get the hang of it soon and the production will catch up with demand.
 
My local gun shop ordered 10 back in late March, all were sold except the one I bought.

He said they can't keep them in stock. He has a 100 gun order from S&W in hopes they get a few in at a time, but then again the store services larger retailers such as Bass Pro, etc.
 
I found one at a local gun shop about a month ago. I got lucky and checked with them the day it arrived. Bought it before they even put it on the display floor. I checked back a week later and they had received one more. The asking price was $100 more than I paid.

You might want to check with your local gun shop and see what price they quote you to order one. IMO the rifle is a bargain at $600 or less. Once the price starts approaching $700 other rifles start becoming more competitive.
 
Hang in there. As soon as Smith starts shipping a steady supply the price should settle in at $600 or less.
 
That's great! Most of the reports I'm seeing are people finding the Sport at local gun shops and the price seems to be in the $599 range. That's what I paid for mine. The online vendors can't seem to keep them in stock.
