I wanna know where all the GUNS went!

Gun shows (hahahahahaha) are jerky jokes and camo conventions.
Used guns are garbage.

But I ....know.... peeps have bought AND SOLD many .....great.... guns.
But they disappear. Not even estates. WHERE ARE THEY?

Where are just the ones I ....wish..... I had never sold?

But where the hell ARE guns like that?
 
I noticed when I first started acquiring firearms a few years back people seemed to trade and exchange guns a lot more than they do now. I’m not sure if it is fear of regulation or what, but people just seem to hold on to guns more so than before. Also, I suspect more guns get destroyed than they did in the past either by apprehensive owners who “turn them in” or guns used in illegal activity.
 
You should have realized that before you sold them or at least made sure you got good money for them in case you never saw them again. Some people aren't lucky enough to get one of those kinda guns the first time, at least you had one at all because its better to have had the gun and sold it than to have never had it all ;)
 
Online sites like gunbroker leveled the field. Most of the special ones are all on those sites instead of sold locally.
 
I got "good money."
What I didn't realize is that they would no longer be available.
Not many of them were out of production for very long.

Just crying in beer.
 
People have more money these days and know what is worth buying.

South Florida guns shows a few years ago were rife with Lugers and 45's, Japanese swords and all sorts of Nazi stuff, the old vets are dying off and their kids don't want that stuff in their houses.

split betweeen the evil pawn shop that aaron uses and the psychic LGS..:)
probally lots more small places as well..but I don't know about them..

I have seen 1-2 of your list at one time, and over a long period of time about half your list.
but they are out there..just have to be patient..

the psychic LGS guy travels to shows a lot, so he picks up a lot of diffrent stuff..and trades for some nice stuff as well..

Isn't strange. You can sell a gun quicker than your mother-in-laws Sunday driven old Ford. All those guns your looking for. Are in someone eles's closet that isn't planning on selling them back._:p
 
I keep hearing about the good ole days of gun show's. Most of the shows anywhere near me seem to have the following.

1. TONS of CC/Pocket/Compact/SubCompact/Mouse guns
2. ZOMBIE! If it has a Zombie or Even a Z version they will have it!
3. Cool older bolt action rifles and pump action shotguns with wood stock; that are way overpriced.
4. Beat to hell overpriced used semi auto pistols..no I am not paying $550.00 for a S&W 5906 that looks like it sat in an outhouse for the last 10 years.
5. A "Few" high end "evil black rifles". Rail? Check, Lasers? Check, Bipod? Check, Light? Check!

Its a sad sad world but full sized semi-autos are so 20 years ago it would seem. I went to a gun show last year and only TWO tables out of about 50 or 60 had SIG's...ONLY TWO! and one only had an old P220 in 38 Super...which I am an idiot for not buying @ only $400.00. Your classic full sized semi autos just seem to be on the Decline, 1911's are popular as ever but P226, Beretta 92, Fullsized glocks, H&K's, Hi-Power's etc all seem harder to come by.

The internet has changed a lot of things; the gun world has been slower to react. This is why the price of Comic Books fell in the 90's. Suddenly if you had a rare item; say there are maybe only 100-1000 in the world. Normally you would be LUCKY to find one at a local store but more likly than not you needed to go to a special event with dealers from all over to get one. Suddenly ANYONE who is looking for this rare item can type some letters in the search function of a website and find it.

Oh I forgot to add #6 Obligatory table with lots of WWII German firearms and "Nazi" gear.

At least I started buying gold at $60 per oz. and currently still have a ton of it.
 
Good money costs next to nothing to print.

Good guns are hard to find because there are fewer skilled people in the US who know how to make them, and import laws won't let you have good guns made in other countries.

The bottom line - money is not good. Guns are gold. Some firearms are worth more than their weight in gold. Think about that the next time you want to trade a stack of green paper for guns.
 
I don't know about every one else, but every gun I want to shoot is in the back of the gun safe, meaning I have to unload the sucker to get what ever gun I want to shoot today.

Then its an all day process to get them back in so I can get the door closed and locked.

+100. The key to a gun transaction is first buying right, and second selling right. In 9/10 gun sale regret stories, an error was made in either the former or the later.
