I have been scouring Netflix for great gun films. I've been relegated to youtube videos (tales of the gun) and whatever I torrent (OMG!!). I already know about the Jesse Stone movies and anything Tom Selleck is in. Any suggestions from fellow Netflixers out there??

Tons on Netflix. Some are on demand, others disk-only.

As mentioned, Way of the Gun (definitely on demand)

Spartan (nice 1911 and Sig action)

The Seven-Ups (on demand, good 70s-style shoot-em-up)

Westerns: Valdez is Coming, Hombre, Wild Bunch

The Getaway, Bullitt

Thief

Lethal Weapon

and many, many more

Netflix seems fine until you watch it for 2 or 3 weeks then it becomes apparent how limited their library is. You posted the answer (OMG). :)

I'm workin on EdFLix library. I have so many good westerns its unreal. I heard that Deadwood was good but they're isn't any real gunplay, all they do is stand around calling each other names. It's like they said he can curse in the script and so the writers pen got wild and went overboard. Very tacky.

Got it. Cool movie. Tracks the ownership of one rifle. Grandpa Walton is in it and still had dark hair! Jimmy Stewart was ok in it.

The other day I ran across The Shakiest Gun In The West with Don Knotts. Hadn't seen that since I was a kid.

Second that 'Winchester 73'....Tony Curtis had his first speaking part in that film, the Corporal who finds the rifle on the battlefield. "Hey, Sarge, look at this!" Rock Hudson was the Indian chief...."This is gun I want". Great film.
