When you shoot.....

what are your guys set up or intentions. I'm in the process of setting up a pistol range behind my house. I get rather bored just shooting in stationary positions and shooting at an X. I enjoy setting up real life scenarios with multiple targets. I like having several targets and different levels and shoot where a magazine change is required. I was just looking to see what your plan was when your shooting.

PS: one thing i do for you to try. i have a buddy load my magazine and i have him load 6 live rounds and 1 just brass. when i get to the brass only it causes a stovepipe. i have no idea where he put the brass, this causes me to get better at fixing the jam and finishing the course in a more reallife situation.

I agree with Sam -- shooting Steel is FUN -- instant feedback and no resetting targets !!!! As to "drills" ----- I do a bunch of weakhand shooting , set up X number of targets , shoot Left to right , mag change then shoot right to left --- also shoot far to near , then near to far etc. Get some IPSC targets and shoot for the head etc.

I'll state the obvious, will a stray bullet hit nothing but dirt if fired over your berm? Do you have at least two miles of open land behind it?

Being a buzzkill, but a valid issue.:)
