Does anyone have a few tips for maintaining situational awareness while loading kids into the car?
I feel very vulnerable during this process. I constantly have to duck into the car to fasten straps and get the kids situated. This leaves me in a compromised position. I always put the kids in first, and often have to leave them sitting there while I load groceries, etc. (keys in pocket, of course).
It is virtually impossible to focus 100% on what's going on around me and to get out of the parking lot quickly. How do I mitigate potential threats?
Thanks,
-T
