what's you'r opion building custom 6.5X284 norma

I want to build me a custom long range tact driver Remington 700 has so many options, or do you think mod 70 with controled feed is better. Who do you think does the best afordable rebarrelling, I have been trying to find out more about Pac-nor. I would like to put the rifle together for less than $ 1200 not counting action. Last has anyone had good luck with the burris tac. 30 thyx:rolleyes:
 
The 6.5x 284 is a fine long range cartridge. Remington action is a dandy although I like mine sleeved and trued. Don't over look the barrel maker in Texas, Shilen. I'd suggest giving them a call and chatting about what you want out of the project. Be prepared to chat about what bullet, expected velocity, etc. They are very capable of building you a world class arm if you like.
