Whats up with this .50 cal rifle?

cause it is semi auto which means it only fire's 1 shot per trigger pull but its a bolt action rifle which means it has to be cycled manually.

does sorta look like the Bushmaster, not exact, but close.

wonder why they didn't just make it semi-auto instead of the pullback bolt.

At $5 a round a semi .50 might use up a week’s pay in one range session.

I guess, but just because a rifles semi-auto doesn't mean you have to shoot it like a mad man.

the Barrett 82A1 is semi auto so i guess i was just wondering why they didn't pattern it after it.

maybe it's like Chaz said, the lockup and accuracy is better on a bolt action.

:)

Semi-automatic means it is a self loading firearm that fires once per trigger pull. It does not mean any firearm that shoots once per trigger pull. Think about it- a single shot flintlock musket fires once per trigger pull too, but it is hardly a semi-automatic weapon.

With a semi-automatic rifle, the weapon fires once per trigger pull, but it also loads itself until its magazine is empty- the shooter only needs to use his or her trigger finger to keep shooting. A bolt action rifle may well have a magazine, but it does not load itself, and therefore is not semi-automatic
