whats up with Hornady?....

Any other TFLers know what's going on with Hornady's line of duty & carry grade handgun ammunition?
It's strange that nearly every other major brand; Corbon Federal Speer Golden Saber etc is re stocking or adding new supply sources except Hornady.
Did they have a problem at the factory? Are they delaying production of Critical Duty?

Maybe it's more a question of what the stores are ordering, than what they're shipping? It's a fairly new line and may not sell as well as Golden Sabers or Gold Dots?

Hornady has also suspended production of several types of bullets to get caught up on their best sellers. That bullet may be one of them?

Briefly listed...

I saw a online source that I used in the past that listed 50rd boxes of Critical Duty .45acp rounds for approx $38.00 USD($53.00 with S/H total).
The ammunition listing sold out quickly .
I might buy a 50rd box of Golden Saber bonded 185gr +P($42.00) or a 50rd box of Winchester Ranger T T series bonded 230gr JHP .45acp(approx $38.00) to use until Hornady puts out more Critical Duty lines to more US retailers.

Hornady released a public statement earlier this year that it was temporarily shutting down production of more than a hundred types of bullets and ammo so they could concentrate on the types that were most in demand. Perhaps your flavor is one that they have temporarily suspended.
