What's the story on the Five-seveN and SS190?

This is one of the best things to come along in years, and I havent seen anything even close in the states. Any reason why?http://www.remtek.com/arms/fn/57/index.htm
 
plenty of tfl threads on the 5-7

would be neat to play with, but dont hold your breath waiting for one (or feel sorry that you cant get one) get over it & buy a raging hornet or a CZ 52

sho seems to be a lot of sound n fury bout yet another .22. Wonder what's wrong with dustin off the .22 mag wheelgun or autoloader and gettin some ammo from the local stop n rob for it. Ballisticaly it looks like an expensive step backwards. Neat projectiles available for it but so what?

I was underwhelmed by .22s in combat and darn shure not gonna depend on one to STOP a bad guy in a defensive situation. Don't want to wait around for the BG to get sick from the little leak.

Sam...my favorite 9mm is the 9X32R.
 
I want a FiveSeveN so bad I can't stand it, but as far as I know, both they and the ammo they use are strictly for LEO only.
