I'm thinking about purchasing a the above mentioned pistol and I know that these are a bit pricey but wanted some estimates or experiences as to what you paid for your H&K P7? I'm pretty much just interested in the most plain-jane model.

I'm located in the Tulsa OK area.

Thanks all.

Since the P7M8 made on the approved list for CA, I've seen them new for $1300-ish...some a little lower & some still a little higher. Recently at a range, someone offered me $1500 for mine. I've seen them around in gun shops used from $600-$750 depending on condition.

In Austin TX (yeah, we let you Okies come down here occasionally ;) ), I recently found 2 seperate P7 PSPs for approx $650 each. The bluing was a bit worn, but I disassembled them, and the internals were great. I also found a P7M8 that looked brand-new and unfired inside and out for $900.

The MSRP for a P7M8 is $1,472. You should be able find a new (AB or AC proof mark) one for about $1200. I paid $1,050 (AA proof mark) for mine about two years ago.

I seen them between $1200 and $1400, but out in CA everything is expensive, including my $1000/month studio apartment.

Firearms Unlimited near Pittsburgh had four new ones and one used one when I was there recently. Don't recall the exact prices, but I want to say the new ones were under $1100 and the used one was around $750.

If anyone wants the contact info, I can dig it up.

Take care. Marko

Paid $850 for my LNIB refurb that'd had the mill-mark removed and the slide refinished at the shop that sold it to me (they're a Class III Mfr, and do this to all the refurbs they buy).

The local HK dealer orders P7M8s with night sights at customer request for $1,350.

Ouch!!!... I knew those guns were on the pricey side.. but that's a lot of cash for a 9 x 19 single stack gun... :(

I stopped by my local gun shop yesterday and talked to them about the P7's and they don't even get them in on a regular basis because of the price they don't move them w/much regularity.

They did however have a nice LNIB USPC in .357Sig that looked quite attractive... for around $500 I think I may have to check my bank account again.. ;)

I've never heard anything but good about the P7, but for over $1000 I'd like to get some range time in before the purchase. Would be like buying a new Mercedes w/out getting to test drive it first...

Shoot a P7M8 and you will be sold. If you are willing to look you can get a nice used one for around $750 - $800. Just look around and search the boards for private sales.

buy a good used or factory refurb for about the price of something else new and shoot it, then you'll understand what all the uproar is about...it is a true evolution beyond the tilt barrel/dropping block design

with the money you save over a NIB, you can afford have it hardchromed (it really deserves it) after you're in love. :D
