What's the going price for a CZ?

How much are the CZ 75B and/or CZ 85 and the .22 conversion in your area?

A local dealer is selling them here for $579.00, $499.00 and $279.00 respectively. I tend to think he is about $100.00 too high on them, but I may be wrong. The conversion, while nice, is about $50.00 over what I think it should be. I have no quarrel about his wanting to make a profit, but it seems to me he is trying to cash in on the current anti S&W feeling, and the curent get it now while you can.

His decision to stock CZ came from his decision to quit stocking S&W.

Ron,
I am in Ohio! The Dealer is Pro Gun in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, the only one CZ lists on their site. None of the shows here in North East Ohio have any CZ's. A few will have the EAA cpoies, and once in a great while a used one will turn up at a show.

I was just at J and G Sales, looking at ammo, and noticed this ad:

CZ-75B 9MM WITH NAME-BRAND
TRITIUM NIGHT SIGHTS. COMES WITH
ONE 10RD AND ONE 15RD FACTORY MAG
ONLY $349.95!!! LIMITED TIME ONLY.

Looking at their ad, it appears they have lots of other versions of the 75B also, all under the price you quoted.

Might be worth a look.

He not $100 high on his prices, he's $200 high. CZ-75s should be around $350, as noted earlier. The conversion is only about $80 high.

I paid $375 including sales tax for a new CZ-75B 9mm with the black epoxy finish, factory box, factory owner's manual, and (2) 15 round factory magazines in Evansville, IN last October. The gun was stamped '97 behind the ejection port, so I assume it had been sitting on the shelf for quite a while. I bought it from a dealer that I have purchase four or five guns from in the last couple years, so I'm certain it was new and un-used.

Given my clean record, I picked it out, negotiated the deal, filled out the application, waited thru the background check, and was at the range trying it out all within 45 minutes.

Is this a great country or what?

Take the long way home...

Here in OZ a good price is $850AUD(Glocks are $800AUD basic). Usually we are three times your US dollar prices...so why only X2 now, do we have a price increase coming and be time to stock up ?!! ;)

A cz-75b should go for about $350. Anything more than that is highway robbery. You can find local dealers who'll handle a transfer from another FFL; I've done it a number of time. There are a lot of places to get CZ (but on several other lists people say to AVOID J&G SALES!...)

Check http://www.empirearms.com/clean.htm

Dennis Kroh has an outstanding reputation for quality and service.

(I got my CZ-75B at a gun show for $275! The dealer, after I said, "that's a great price, I'll take it," took my permit and ID and pulled the papers. Came back with a sheepish grin and said, "you're right, that is a Good price. It was mismarked; that's only $10 over our cost. I'll let you have it at that price." He didn't have to do that, and I'll do business with him in the future, out of appreciation.)

Its a great gun, and I've since bought a CZ-85B Combat (nickel)...

RAE,

Sorry, didn't bother reading your bio (due to my lazy behind). Try B&T Shooting Suppliies, Inc. (the one in Middleburg Hts.) They had one there when I got my SOCOM. I was seriously considering getting it but I already have one. (I was in a buying mood. I'm one of those people who, if they like something, they try to get two. Particularly if it's (relatively) cheap.) As I recall, it went for just under $400. Didn't notice what kind of mags it had.

B&T : 7543 Pearl Road, Middleburg Hts. (440) 234-2425
M-F : 11-7
Sa : 10-5

There was a matte-finished B w/ 15 and 10 round mag auctioned recently (GunBroker, I think). Asking start price was 299. No offers when the auction closed. Go figure.
