What's the extension of 10mm (and can 610 rechamber?)

This has been bugging me a for days, and I don't have my copy of Cartridges of the World handy:

What's the cartridge that's a lengthened version of the 10mm?

This does exist, right? Did I just imagine that I read it somewhere?

44 Russian : 44 Spl : 44 Mag :: 40 S&W : 10mm : ???

(Correct me if I got the "symbology" wrong above)

And whatever this cartridge is, do folks drill the chambers on their 610 to fit said cartridge in there? I know people turn a 9x19 SP101 into 9x23, or a 625 into .460 Rowland.

10mm Magnum. Created by AMT for their Automag series. Never chambered by anyone else that I know of. I have seen several mentions of people rechambering SW610's to this cartridge. Supposodly closes the performance gap between 10mm and 41 mag. Starline still makes brass for it. None of my manuals have any load data that I can quote for you.

I'd ream a 40S&W or 10mm Ruger SA out deep enough for those 10mm-Magnums, but no way I'd do it with an S&W. I wouldn't risk the extra stress.

AS MENTIONED HERE ALREADY IT IS THE 10MM MAGNUM AND

IT IS INDEED SAFE TO RECHAMBER A SMITH M610 TO IT.
What you have then is a rimless 401 HERTER POWERMAG in all its' glory, and yes indeedee you can us 401 POWERMAG loading data.

We dang near re-introduced the 401 a few years ago and shot the dickens out of two sixguns in 401 just to see what it would do...let me tell you guys, it would do a LOT, and I don't mean maybe!!!! 180's at 1475 were a piece of cake. 200's at 1425 were just as easy and I've always thought the 401 may rise again someday from somewhere.

Mr Murbach: Why would you consider reviving the 401 Powermag instead of the 10mm Mag?

I'd think that you'd have to make an entirely new cylinder to convert any revolver to .401, yet for 10mm Mag all you have to do is ream out a 610 or .40/10mm Ruger.

NO NO NO, YOU'RE NOT PAYING ATTENTION HERE.

THE 10MM MAGNUM AND THE 401 POWERMAG ARE THE SAME CARTRIDGE, WITHOUT A RIM, AND WITH A RIM.
In a properly chambered revolver you could use the 401's as is, and use the 10MM mag in full moon clips, or just drop 'em in unclipped and bang away.
A S+W M610 can be set up to do this right now with the proper rechambering, and maybe a touch of work on the guns headspace. This is a simple job for a good pistolsmith.

.40 S&W, 10mm, 10mm Long, 10mm Mag, .401HPM (resized/trimed .41 Mag.) I would love to find some .401 PM brass at a reasonable price.
