What is the difference between a Winchester 1897 12gauge and a Winchester 97 ?
Are these the same shotguns that are "trench guns" from Military use ?

The gun started out as the Model 1897, later shortened to Model 97. The trench guns were lightly modified versions with short barrels, upper handguards, and bayonet lugs.
