What's the deal with the Glock 36?

I was on a real Glock 36 kick there for a while, then I realized I had to wait. Still waiting. Anyone shot one? What is the hold up?

To my knowledge, no one has 'em. They are in the US, but are being held up due to a magazine problem. They don't want to release them to the public until they are as reliable as all other Glock.
All of this could be wrong, but that's my understanding.
p.s. I too want a 36.

They exist. It's true!

I went through the Glock Armorer's course Tuesday. At lunch the local Glock distributor pulled one out!!! Didn't get to shoot it, but it was IN MY HAND! Cute little single stack .45.

The instructor claimed they will be released at the end of April, 2000 - (Yah...) they have finally licked the magazine issue they were fighting. Perhaps we will see them in the consumer arena in the fall (who me? Optimistic???)

Also got to fondle a G-18!!! *SWEET* little pistol! The instructor wouldn't let me disassemble it though. Bummer...

I got a 100 on the Armorer's test too.

All in all a very cool day!
