What's the best way to mount a 2-point sling on the Mossberg 590A1?

I've settled on a Blue Force Gear Vickers two-point sling for my Mossberg 590A1 with 20" barrel. Have shot almost exclusively handguns before now so I'm a total newbie to long gun slings.

1. What mounting hardware has worked well for you guys? Will the built-in attachment points on the 590A1 suffice?

2. Where are the best places to attach the sling? There seems to be one attachment point under the stock and another on the bayonet lug? Or is it supposed to go on the end cap? Sorry for any stupid questions. If it helps, I'm liking the "African carry" style so far, what mounting system would work best with that?

Thanks guys.

I put a magpul stock with the side mount sling attachment up front. That way the gun lays correctly when on the sling.

I like it

The bayonet lug will be to far forward. However, where you put the sling is one the many personal preference things. It goes where it's most comfortable for you.
Only use a Sterling SMG sling on my 870 with no mag tube extension. Front swivel is on the mag cap. Keep the thing handy, but out of the way.

Magpul SGA w/ QDS Type 1 QD cups. I rock a Magpul MS1 mounted on the starboard SGA QD swivel, front attached to a Wilson +1 ext.

This is on an R870P but an M590A1 can be set up more or less the same way.

Being from slug gun country I have put sling hardware on many shotguns. Most
customers wanted standard stock stud and magazine cap stud. Some models
like 500 & Ith 37 had different system for front because of nature of barrel
attachment. These are Uncle Mike's sets for the particular gun. Personally for
the front, I use the barrel band type. It can be bought in sinlge or the style
for extended mags.
