Hey all,
Can anyone post what a good deal is for the USP compact series is? I am looking at the USP C in 40 S&W and the 45 ACP, both in blue and stainless. Preferrably stainless. My shop has the 45 for about 775....

Thanks

Nala

All my pricing was done on the Standard finish USP Compact 9mm. While most places sell them NIB for around 600 bucks, I was able to pick mine up NIB with a Fobus Holster, Fobus Double Mag Pouch, and an extra 10 round clip for 500 bucks. The guy said it was never fired, and it sure looked that way.

I know that there is a premium for the stainless, and that the .45 is slightly more than the .40 or 9mm, but the price you've got still seems high. I'd check with www.auctionarms.com, www.gunbroker.com, and www.gunsamerica.com before I bought that one you're looking at.

You may want to give McDonald Tactical a try....they usually have the best prices on H&K's. You will have to give them a call....as they only list Law Enforcement prices on their site.......and the Law Enforcement price they list for a USP compact .45 stainless is $593.80....they charge a little more for civillian sales.

Their address is: www.mcdonaldtactical.com

Take care!

Nalapombu,

I'm afraid that the best deals out there are on the internet. You might get lucky and find a good deal in a local shop, but I'd say if you are looking for the absolute lowest prices try the web.

I have a new USPc .45 in stainless on layaway the was priced at $725. I would think you might find them in shops anywhere from about $650 to well over $700. My local shop just had a major price increase on USPs effective July of this year. They are looking pretty pricey about now.

Another option is to find one that is on clearance. I've seen several of these guns that have been Variant 3 or some other Variant (other than Variant 1). They don't sell as quickly as a Variant 1 and can be a very good deal because H&K will change them to Variant 1 for you for $25.

Local dealer here lists $699 for USP 45 compact and $749 for the Stainless. They had a HK days sale recently with factory reps there and jacked priced up about $100! Now prices are back down to where they were before the "sale". Go figure.

JohnBoy1,

We must be neighbors. I live about five minutes from Impact Arms. I was there for the H&K days too.

:D

Hi Shake! I didn't make it to Impact on HK days, just saw their ads in the paper and prices in their website. Why did they raise their prices for the sale? Were they throwing in a" free" extra mag? I'm about 25 miles north.
JB

JohnBoy1,

You must be close to my old stomping grounds (Bear River City).

As far as I know Impact wasn't throwing in an extra mag. I emailed them about a week before H&K days and asked why their H&K prices had gotten so inflated (I bought my full sized USP .40 there at the best price around). They replied and said that all H&K prices had gone up as of July of this year. Didn't give an explanation.

They used to have the best prices around on everything. Lately though I 've found that Sportsman's has competitive prices with them. I've taken to shopping at Gallenson's just because they allow me to put stuff on layaway for as long as I want. I just have to make monthly payments an they'll hold the gun for me.

Another UT TFL poster here from down the street in SLC.

I've been waiting for just over a month now for a H&K pistol from Impact Tactical. They all but promised the pistol would be mine by their Aug 3rd H&K Days ... came and went with no pistol. I've never dealt with them before, but their Internet reputation appears to be excellent.

Price check on aisle four! Their "new" H&K P7M8 sale price is $1,199, which is down from $1,435 list. Before H&K Days, the sale price was $1,099, which was down from $1,199 list. Revolving prices?!

I much prefer Doug's pricing over Gallensons, but that's just my personal preference!

You gentlemen shoot IDPA or IPSC?

Ya I noticed the prices seemed to go up for HK Days and are back down again now. Impact is a good place but I haven't been there in about a year. Took my CCW course there 3 years ago. Hope to get a HK compact 45 this weekend down in Provo.

Hey JB,

Your buddy lived right around the corner from where I grew up then (I lived about two blocks from the old bridge!). I'm thinking I might know who he is. Did his dad own a dairy?

I've got an H&K compact stainless in .45 on layaway right now at Gallenson's. I won't tell you what I paid for it, but it was too much.

Hey Johnny Rad,

I work in SLC now. I like Doug's prices too. I go there at least once a month. I've bought several firearms from them as well.

I don't know why Impact is taking so long on your order. I have had very good luck with them (until recently I wouldn't shop anywhere else), but I did have a problem with them getting an order in once (not serious). I ordered a Remington .22-250 from them and ended up waiting about 3 months. They claimed they couldn't get one in so I bought a Kimber from them instead. The same day I went to Sportsman's to take a scope off layaway that was intended for my .22-250. I happened to ask Sportsman's if they had the Remington I wanted and, you guessed it, they had it.

Have you talked to Dave? If not, when you do call ask to talk to him and explain what is going on. If anyone can help you out there it would be him.

I don't shoot IDPA or IPSC (yet). I got into handguns a few years ago and have been so busy buying guns I haven't had time to have fun with them. I think I've gotten to the point that I'm going to start trying IDPA or IPSC.

Do you shoot either? If so, where do you shoot?

Shake

Haven't shot IDPA or IPSC, but owuld sure like to give it a go. The closest is (Northern Utah) NUPDA, but it seems rather inconvenient to me. See you around.

Thanks for the lead at Impact - I'll call Dave tomorrow. Wish me luck!

Shake,
Checketts dairy, Brice is my age, Kim is younger and Sidney and Myron were older. I know lots of people in Bear River City, Holmgrens, Andersons, Burts, Hardys, etc.

Johnny Rad,
I agree with Shake, talk to Dave at Impact about your order, he's an owner and not just an employee. Although last few times I was there Dave was taking care of m-16's and full auto stuff and Clay was the pistol guy, but things could have changed since last time I was there.
JB

BigJohnBoy,

That's what I was thinking. I actually worked for Brice when I was 11-12 years old (feeding calves, cows etc.). My older brother milked for him for several years. I do know Kim well too. In fact, my younger brother and his son know each other well too. The Checketts are good people. The other names are familiar as well.

Impact has undergone some changes in the last little while. for a while Clay went back to being a lawyer and, from what I understand, quit the business. I was at a gun show not too long ago and saw him there selling guns. Turns out he and Dave (don't know if other owners were involved) split up and Clay is on his own now. Last I heard he was looking for a retail location in the Layton area.

Shake

Didn't know Clay was a lawyer, guess he fooled me! :) Hope to get a USP 45 Compact in Provo tomorrow. Seems like $699 is the best price I can find. No one's giving them away! One place has a used stainless for $539, not sure I want a used one.
JB

BigJohnBoy,

Hate to say it, but that is about as cheap as I've seen them. I'm paying about $25 more for mine. Mine is still on layaway. Let me know how yours shoots.
