Okay... I think this is the very first thread that I have started on TFL, and since TFL is about to go offline permanently, I thought that maybe I should post one before it goes away.
We all know and love the SHTF scenarios, and the topic always tends to lead to whats in your BOB/SHTF pack. This is a list that I came up with after reading James Wesley Rawles' book "Patriots: Surviving the Coming Collapse". Here is a list of things that one of the characters in the book has as he's doing his cross country trek...

Cleaning kit for rifle, spare parts for rifle

First Aid Kit
Knife for skinning game, knife sharpening kit, Gerber multi tool
Toothbrush, Floss, Toothpaste, Soap
Pack, Sleeping bag
Tent, 4 season, expedition quality, Poncho
BDU, Hat, Underwear
Socks, Socks, and socks
Boots, extra boot laces
Waterproof matches

Fishing kit, Snares

I'm thinking all this stuff would fit in a pack the size of a washing machine, and would probably weigh you down so much that you are not moving that tactically.
Anything here that is redundant or missing?
