Greetings Members,
I looked trough Makarov.com but wanted your advise on what the going prices are for the different makes of Makarov are in .380 Cal.
I wanted to know which ones are the best value for money. I live in Sandusky,OH and the gunstores here may not stock it, so that will add the cost of the FFL's charge and the shipping.
Thanks a lot,
Anand.

Don't know about the .380 variety, but one of the local gunshops (West Tennessee) is selling 9x18mm Bulgarian Maks in very good condition for $159.95; includes original holster and spare mag (so far I'm very pleased with the one I picked up about a month ago :D )

Here are some good prices: http://www.aimsurplus.com/
Click on pistols, they have some as low as $120.

I've owned .380 and 9x18 Russian Maks. Great pistols! Between $150 and $200 is a good price.

Bulgarian Maks are preferred by some for CCW because of the less bulky, fixed sights.

Hope this helps...

For the money it's hard to beat these Walther knock offs. I don't think the parts are interchangable. We have a PA-63 that I bought used (100.) in 9x18. My wife used it to qualify for CCP running out 500 rounds of HP and ball ammo without one failure. I on the other hand with the 500+ Colt Gov. jammed so many times I lost count. For the money they're reliable and I like the de-cocker mechanism. They also break down faster to clean. Now if they'd just make one in 45 I'd really be interested. The only disadvantage is the reload having to hand rack the slide instead of hitting the slide release. If there's a better gun for the money someone point me to it!
