Recently I was at a local gun store and overheard a guy explaining the difference between a Glock 21 sf and a Springfield XDM to his gf.

My question is if you heard someone giving false or incomplete information to a third person would you say something or mind your own business ?

I would gesticulate until either party asked why.

I would keep my yap shut and my nose out of other people's business until my opinion was otherwise solicited. An exception might be if a safety issue was being wrongly advised.

I would mind my own buisiness. I overheard two men at a gun show last year saying that 9mm was a very powerful round.

I'm with the above guys. I hear so much misinformation that it makes me sick. I pretty much block out all conversations that don't directly involve me.

As long as it's unloaded guns in a store where his mistakes are not immediately a threat to anyone , I'd mind my own business.

Contradicting a guys "gun knowledge" especially in front of his wife/gf, is a real good way to send him on an ego trip and start a hassle.

It's not my money .if you say something you get the LOOK. it's not worth the trouble .they have to live with it.:D

I agree

I agree and did not contradict anything that I heard but, I have heard so many ignorant statements such as " I want a pearl handle glock" (guy I used to work with). or "569.00 for a glock 23 is a good price" (gun dealer) same gun a block away for 459.00. Or "I just bought a sks for 450.00" (another guy I worked with). I guess I just dont understand why anyone would buy or try to teach others about anything without doing the proper research.

Another question-What are the most ignorant comments and/or questions you have heard?

Lol i'd start with a well articulated argument and end with a facts and proof. I never miss a chance to publicly expose dumb people. If someone spews mis-information and is humiliated by a well informed literate person in front of say, a GF, or someone he respects like the gunshop owner, maybe he'll think twice before spewing nonsense in public in the future. Just doing my part for humanity lol.

If you spend any time at all in a gun shop, gun show, or a range, you will hear some outrageous statements being made.

You will hear some of the most idiotic statements ever in gun shops.

Best just to shake your head and move on.

I usually keep my mouth shut unless the incorrect information is going to a person I know or the person giving the bad information is obviously taking advantage of somebody.
