What Would You Do with a Purdey/Russian?

Sorry, it is still a Russian POS...........
$30,000 is about half a new Purdey that is not heavily engraved
for that, I could get several bespoke Spanish guns made to my requirements

If I had one I would sell it... I couldn't possibly see using a gun like that. Too nice to use and ridiculous to even have a gun worth $30,000 IMO.

What drivel - a bunch of Purdey history, for a shotgun not made by Purdey, only one done in the Purdey style - and by anonymous Russians, at that !

.

Its not a Purdy ...its a knock-off gift to a politician ...made in Russia...supposedly to Purdy's specs...( maybe )....

No, its not worth that kind of money....if I wanted to spend $ 30K on a shotgun it would be on a Kolar or Krieghoff Over Under...and I'd get 60 times the gun of this Russian knock-off..../ $ 30K will buy a mid-grade O/U from either Kolar or Krieghoff....with the options I'd want.

If I wanted a Side by Side....it would be a Krieghoff Essencia...

Here's an Essencia for sale at $ 26,000....

What would I do with a purty Russian? We used to chant a cadence that went like this, "If I die on the Russian front, bury me with a Russian #@$#." We loved those purty Russians.

After all, they both look alike!....:D

To keep this ON topic, as mentioned, if it wasn't made BY Purdey in their English shop by their craftsmen, it simply isn't a Purdey.

In Spain, both AyA and Arrizabalaga make Spanish copies of the Holland and Holland - one to the point the parts interchange. Yet, it is NOT a H&H, and their prices reflect that fact.
