What would you buy at the GUN SHOW???

I hope no one takes this too seriously. This is just for fun...

Let's say you have $925 to spend at the gun show. Which firearm or combination of firearms would you buy? Since we're in the handgun section of the forum, lets narrow it down to handguns only.

Go.

If I were wandering around a gun show with $925 to spend, I would probably be looking for a CZ 75 PCR (9mm), and a CZ 82 (9x18 Makarov), with as many CZ 82 mags as I could find at reasonable prices...

Man. It depends on what is there. WAY to difficult to name what I'd buy used. Easier to mention what I'm jonesing to buy new as far as handguns for for under the price listed.

1. Smith and Wesson model 625, 4" bbl .45 ACP revolver.
2. Ruger GP-100, 3" bbl, .357 magnum revolver.
3. Uberti/Cimarron/Taylor Remington New Model Army, 8" bbl, .44 caliber revolver.
4. Kel-Tec P32, .32 ACP, semi-automatic handgun.

Really those are the only three guns that I would buy outright if I saw them new for a decent price if they were in good working order. But I mean it's a gun show, the skies the limit. Never know what you will stumble upon there. I'm going to one tomorrow morning BTW, hopefully I can find at least something to make it worth the entry fee. :o

A case of .45 of ACP AMMO, maybe some .22LR, and if I had any money leftover I would buy a hot dog and a cold drink.

I would be looking for a military M1911A1; although it would be a miracle to find a decent one at the price mentioned.

Gun Show?

$925 for fun and entertainment purposes only.

Gas to show 5 gallons at $3.50 per, $11.00 to get in, now I'm under $900.
Gotta get some jerky so now I'm at $890 give or take. Finally found a brick of 22LR $80.00, Now at $810. Pick up some glass cleaner polish minus $15.00. A cheapo Chinese assisted opening knife minus another $10.00. Down to $785.

WOW! I always wanted a Radar O'Rily hat, minus a $5.00. T-shirt for the grandkid that says Grand Pop went to the gun show and all I got was this T-shirt, minus $15. Targets economy size pack $20. Down to $745.

Well you can see I'm too impulsive a shopper. :o

I'd probably keep an eye for a Sig P220 or 229, preferably with a threaded barrel. Or maybe a lever gun in .44 or .357 mag. I could even be convinced to take home a S&W 686 or a nice model 27.

There's no shortage of things that would be interesting.

Go.

Welcome to TFL.

Whatever struck my fancy. I'd probably look to upgrade something I have now. Say, look for a SP101 snub. Reloading consumables. Can't have too many primers. Bullets.

I'd scour the milsurp tables looking for some cool com bloc pistols or unusual 32 acp pistols. Or maybe a 3 inch ruger in 327 fed. Or hopefully a s&w 625. If I had any leftover it would go to ammo and/or brass.

First and foremost some beef jerky... Seriously, exactly what I did the last show I attended in Charlotte. I bought a Sig C3 1911 Crimson Trace edition with extended magwell. That is the best 1911 I own. For a mass produced gun, the only one I like better is the new CZ/Dan Wesson bobbed grip. Just don't think that would buy but about half of one of those....

Ditto..

I would end up buying bulk bullets and or powder if I could find it for less that what I can get on line. I always carry the phone to compare prices.
I usually carry a few boxes of primers or 22LR as trading fodder. Most of the time I order primers I buy case lots to save on shipping and sell off the excess to pay the hazmat fees. And the 22LR from CMP when you could get it for $99 a case.

Do you have a handgun that serves you for home defense/carry already?

If so, you're free to look for a gun that's just for fun.

I personally would be looking for a Tokarev, Hi Power, Luger, 1911, etc. I like the military style semi automatics. I've always wanted a Tokarev (which you can find around $300 last I checked) but ammo's drying up for them.

When you say entertainment, do you mean you're just looking for a blaster? Bullseye shooter? Pumpkin exploder? If you have a use in mind, a recommendation is easier.

Entertainment?

Well, I ended up getting a Gen4 Glock 17 and a Bersa .380 Combat (lol "combat"...but I love those little Bersas).

This is the actual photo of mine...

I'd be looking for a Colt Army Special along with quite a bit of ammo for it. I don't really want anything that actually costs around the 900 dollar price range for handguns right now.

A Ruger SR1911, AND a Ruger P90. 2 of the best 45s ever made, and if you search, you will be right at $925.

OR a Ruger SR1911, full size or Commander, and a Kimber 22 Conversion. Again... $925

Since I'm content with what I have, I'd look for a S&W460. Plenty of bang if I want, plenty of plinkability if I want it. Either 4" or 6" I think.
I wouldn't mind a 629-4" either though.:)
