what would be your fav. slug . . .

I use 1 oz KO Brenekkes, but....

Each and every shotguns is a law unto itself when it comes to slugs.

Identical shotguns that left the factory the same day may have wildly different results with any of the many good slugs out there.

Best to buy a mess of 5 packs of divers brands and have at it. Bench test until a winner arises, then buy and stash all you can find of that lot.

A loose rule....

For smoothbores and rifled chokes, get "Rifled" slugs or Brenekkes. For fully rifled bores, the Sabot style (Pronounced Sa- BOH) is usually the best choice.

Example: I`ve got two old Rem. 1100, 2 3/4 smoothbore`s. Both are very accurate up to 100yds.and have killed there share of deer. One prefers a reg. old Rem. rifled slugger while the other prefers a rifled Winchester slug. Dave`s advice is best.
