...to the S&W Model 10?

By equivalent I mean:

• 4" barrel,,,
• Medium frame,,,
• Non-adjustable sights,,,
• 6-shot DA/SA in .38 Special.

The Police Positive. The Official Police is a heavier frame (the old .41 frame).

Just Google "police positive" for many pics and more details.

Colt made 3 frame sizes of the older action, D frame (Police Positive/Diamondback/Detective Special, etc), I or E frame (Official Police/Officer's Model/Python/New Army), and N (New Service). You are looking for an I frame.

All of the Colt frames are larger than the similar S&W frames (J. K, and N frames).
