What would be a fair trade?

Hey guys,

I have a CW9 that is for CC. I really settled for the pistol as I wanted a .380 LCP. I posted an add on a site and I have people that want to trade their LCP for the CW.

My CW9 has all original paperwork, case and 2 mags. It also has an AGrip. It would come with 4 boxes of 9mm.

What would be a fair trade for a used LCP? I would love to get ammo out of the deal instead of cash.. but if I had to ask for trade+ cash, how much?
 
Some quick calculations tell me that you have about $415 or so in the Kahr ($375 + ammo).

Used LCPs seem to be going for about $265.

$415 - $265 = $150.
 
Id be asking for $100 to make up the difference in trade,and $130 cash with the ammo you have.
Altho .380 can be hard to find i would not give over $20/50 but thats just me.

You got a good deal. My $375 number was based on what excellent condition specimens are fetching on the major sites (Gunbroker, GunsAmerica). There is wiggle room. Like anything, guns in the exact same condition sell for widely varying amounts.
 
Yea I hear ya. I have a few ppl who want to bite on this, hopefully it will go down. I dont feel .380 is a downgrade if I can have a pistol that will slip into a pocket.

Even though the Kahr is crazy thin, an LCP is slimmer lol.
 
With the extra mag (and guessing 4 boxes=200ds fmj practice ammo) I would say about $100-$150 cash for the lcp with one mag. Depending on the condition of the guns.

I own both guns and like them well. The lcp is nice and easy to carry but the cw9 is a "more comforting" gun. If I could only have one I'd go with the lcp. The ONLY reason is because I have a 442 that fills the same niche as main ccw of the cw9.

If you have other ccw guns do it. If this it I would keep the cw9. Rather be overarmed than underarmed.
 
Picked it up today. 50 cash + 200 rds FMJ and one mag of SD ammo. The LCP came with 2 mags both outfitted with the extension. Not bad.
