What was the pre panic price for a SP101?

from what ive seen, this panic pricing hasnt affected revolvers or hunting rifles or shotguns, just mainly hi cap semi auto pistols and "assault" weapons

$550 O.T.D. is pretty legit price and you should get it. (If you still have to add more for tax, not as great a deal.)

When you factor in the price of doing an FFL transfer (@$50), having to wait a week or two on shipping (everywhere seems to be at least a week behind schedule still), cost of fuel (and value of your time) spent driving to the FFL to pick it up; you end up paying MAYBE $10-$20 more to support local business and get what you want right now.

Just before Christmas

my local gun store had them for 475.00 $ + 6% sales tax and no FFA transfer.
The only time you pay a transfer is if you buy from a place like Buds etc. Than it is 50.00$.

I paid $500 pre tax/trans back in Feb 2012, so the price you list seems in line with the going price of a sp1001 around here. That said, my brother in law has been looking for one locally, and has been told by local dealers that no one has any currently, and that they couldn't even order one for him. Don't know when they will get a batch in. So, if I were looking for a Sp101, I'd have no problem grabbing the one you have available at that price.

I bought a 2 1/4in SP101 back in 2008 at the same place and they were selling for $429 at that time, but Ruger has raised prices since that then.

I have, in my wish list notes, a minimum price of $458.92 from Grabagun.com. This would have been from last summer or fall. It was for a 2.5" SP101 Ruger model 5718.

Bud's was $463 at the time.
