what velocity would a 5 inch barreled 454 casull produce

I was thinking of a 5 inch taurus raging bull revolver in 454 casull for bear defense on my rare hunting trips through dangerous country, but i'm concerned with velocity loss that there would be with a 5 inch barrel. what kind of velocity could i expect out of such a short tube?

Greetings, simply put the bear won't know the difference. I've clocked the WW 260s at 1600fps in the short barrels. Handloading can get the 410 LBTs to 1500fps in a 4 5/8 Ruger conversion..That help? henry

sounds good! thanks. I assume such a load as that 410 grainer would kill in front and wound behind. How's muzzel flip on the short barreled Casull
