OK this is going to sound strange but I have a Winchester Pump shotgun and I am trying to determine the exact model. It is marked as a "Winchester Defender" I recieved it as a gift from my first chief. it was the first shotgun I carried in my patrol car. I need to know if this is a 1200 or 1300. i have broken the ejector and need to replace it but there are subtle diffrences.
the serieal number is L2036915 . Any help would be appreciated

Greetings palidin67 and welcome aboard

A Winchester 1200 Defender looks like this:

As you are most likely aware, Winchester 1200 and 1300 are very similar in appearance, and there were both 1200 and 1300 Defender models. I don't know how the 1300's Defenders were marked as to model number; but, IINM, the 1200's were marked "Winchester Defender" on the barrel. Supposedly, all 1300's have 3" chambers and the 1200's came in 2-3/4" standard and 3" magnum models. So, if you barrel is marked for 12-ga, 2-3/4" shells, then there's a good chance it's a 1200.
