What to do with nickel model 36 with flaking finish.

Wha5t to do with nickel model 36 with flaking finish.

I came across a S&W model 36 with some flaking nickel. any suggestions as to what type of finish I could refinish it in. Can nickel be removed? What are my options and who should I send it to to be refinished?

It's history. Have it stripped and re-finished with a finish of your choice.

They put nickel on with an electrical charge. I think if they reverse the polarity it strips it.
