Lets see?Voter turn out 50%.App 25%of the people that voted,voted for Gore.25% voted for Bush. Does that mean that 25%of the population is intellegent-25% is not and 50% could care less.Now for the 64000$ question.Who are the intellegent ones?Guess that depends on what party you are.It does show with that at least 25% can be bulls**ted easly.WHat has all this proven?50% of the people shouldn't be living in the US because they are riding on other people shoulders and 25% of the people need to learn?

You are right about at least half of the population in general being apathetic regarding the entire election. But I think you are being generous with that '50%' statistic, beemerb.

I don't believe that half of all eligible voters actually voted.

I could be wrong, though. It happened once before. ;)

Anyone know for sure what percentage of eligible voters actually voted?

I don't know the overall voter turnout, but St. Louis had a 90% turnout (a several hundred percent increase from previous elections according to Fox news...)

What it proves to me is that 50% of the voters voted to enslave themselves under a Marxist Socialist adminstration.
