Many people won't admit that we live in a police state because if it doesn't affect them then who cares? With garbage like the Patriot Act and Prohibition, maybe someone would care to explain how we don't live in a police state. These are all measures designed to take baby steps to gain absolute power. History has shown us exactly how this works. The article mentions Caesar's and Hitler's rise to power. See any similarities to our current situation?

I don't back the patriot acts at all...but...
I also don't fully trust any website fully designed in high-contrast black and red and dealing in conspiracy theories.

Having spent much of my adult life in the military as a career I don't need to try to prove anything, and stand by my post.
I notice that many who are Libertarians, and some who may not be, but are very young, do not realize that no right is without limitations. Further, one must have the moxie to know who to trust, and who not to trust.
I trust GWB, and trusted RR. I do not trust Kennedy and Kerry for instance.
To ignore the world situation and think that we can live and operate as we once did is foolish, and would result in many more terrorist acts.
Guess that is all I think I need to say.

To be honest I dont trust anyone trying to sell me something.. I also dont trust our Govt, cops, feds, or anyone else who absolutely, positively has to control others to make themselves feel better. I too am a VET, and I can tell you my mistrust for our govt started there!!! I believe once you see the world from outside our propaganda driven media, your eyes will be WIDE open. This goes for all the US media. Non of them tell it straight!! Fox & CNN are a joke... If I want to get a better idea of the truth in this country I watch news from Europe. Now the US CAN report ,SOMEWHAT unbiased on foreign issues. PS Why do the police get to have weapons we are not allowed to have??? So we wont resist when they impose martial law!!! Look at New Orleans.. They went to the REGISTERED gun owners to take thier guns, so they can implement EMMINENT DOMAIN..... This has got to stop!!! In the corps, in event of bio attack the junior man was to remove his mask to see if the environment was safe? BEFORE you ordered him to remove his mask, you were to take his rifle!!!! HOLD ON TO YOUR RIGHTS, AND YOUR GUNS!!!

The way I figure it, since most lies are based in truth, they are probably on to something and it could easily be feasibly the entire truth. Possibly stretched somewhat, but a warning either way.
I wouldn't put it past them and feel it's likely accurate.
Did you see the part of the website that proves that the Patriot Act requires every household dog in the United States to be drafted into the armed forces "and trained for the purpose of attacking United States civilians and/or all felines owned, possessed, and/or maintained by United States civilians" !?!

In response I'd like to point out something for consideration.
It seems the older I get, the more I admit to having a bad memory, while at the same time feeling assured that my opinions are somehow 100 percent accurate, each time I form one.
I guess sometimes it's a healthy thing to research new information, especially when others are earnestly, and honestly trying to bring new information to our attention. Really, I don't know why that guys site is any less factual than the crap Dan Rather put out for 20 years.

Everyone needs to think for themselves and stop allowing GWB & CO. Walk all over us. Im not sure how credible or true this is but it is enough to make my blood boil. The first patriot act was a disgusting show of power. I am not willing to sacrafice my freedom for security and I am disguisted that politicians are trying to pimp lady liberty. Democratic and Republicans are both guilty of wiping theyre butts with the constitution and it needs to stop. You cant make everyone happy and now we have all these career politicians who are doing just that, I want my Grandfathers America back!
