What the hell is going on with this country's gun laws?????

I live in Massachusetts. It was hard enough getting a damn CCL, now I can't even buy a gun (not like I need any more) because of this dumbass "second serial #" (Chapter 180) law. HK is not going to make any guns that comply (in the forseeable future) so that means that I can't buy a simple USP (new anyway). Above all of this, gun prices are going through the roof. I paid $450.00 for my Glock 26, I see USED prices commanding over $650.00.

I can really see how these laws are going to stop the hood up the street from shooting someone while a decent law abiding citizen can't even buy a firearm (at least a good one).

I only see it getting worse for everyone...........

It's all due to "feel good" and ineffective gun laws that do nothing to stem crime and only serve to harass law abiding citizens. I think that the anti's expect to wear us all down through incremental legislation that will eventually disarm us voluntarily because of the hastle and cost of firearms ownership.
 
Is it the second "hidden" SN thing?

HK USPs have the SN in 3 places (frame, slide, barrel). IIRC, this is to comply with German gun manufacturing laws.
 
Buy a gun in a nearby state from a private party. Pay in worthless yet respected american currency. Don't regsiter it. Live free.
