What Surefire for IDPA or CQB?

We are doing lights off drills in IDPA and I need a flashlight.I need one with a button on the bottom that allows me to turn on/off with the push of my thumb.Anyone know what models have this function? It also has to be small enough for everyday carry.

If I were you I'd wait for the E2 Elite...should be available some time this or next month.

I have a 6R which is a great light, but on the large side.

It doesn't have the spotlight blindingness of the M series (to be honest I haven't seen them in action) but the E2 appeals to me because of the small size (Mini-Maglite) and the 6R is a good all-purpose light.

I also have the 8NX and I hate it. Hope this helps...check out www.surefire.com and go to the discussion board.

Go with the Surefire.
I carry a 6Z on-duty and a E2 off-duty and you really can't go wrong with either one.Just keep an eye on the batteries. Surefire makes a few bigger lights but they are not as easy to carry as the two cell size.

for IPDA use? the Z2 for sure, in the v70 holder. you can draw it (with the "shooting grip"). It's very fast, bright, and easy to handle while "combat shooting".

My advice is the SureFire M2.

I would not wait for the E2e as you'll want to get more SureFires anyway, and what with the SHOT Show '02 displaying goodies beyond our wildest dreams, don't wait, get the M2.

One of the best flashlights ever created.

Executive

Go with the E2 Executive model....bright, light, easy to use.....good stuff.....and easy to "tote" daily in your pocket if you so desire.
