What should I use for fox whistling

This weekend I am going fox whistling on my farm, should I use a 22. 22. Mag 223 rem? I'm a bit torn, longest shot I would take is 200m. I'm thinking 22. Mag with the 4x scope. Any tips for foxes too?

I would stick with the 223 for one shot kills unless you are managing to call them in close, try the night eyes headlamp for night calling. Great fun, they look like two led's bouncing toward you, good luck , cheers

Thanks mate, that's why I want to use the 223 but it's quite loud whilst the 22 mag is quieter and good for keeping the pelt. Cheers tho
