This is what I currently own:

Smith and Wesson 686 - 357mag
Smith and Wesson 41 - 22LR
Browning Buckmark - 22LR
SIG sigpro SP2340 - 40S&W and 357SIG
SIG Sauer P220 - 45ACP
SIG Sauer P239 - 357SIG

As you can see, I lack a 9mm pistol. My wife has a P239 in 9mm that she uses as her carry gun, but I would like something of my own that is larger and more fun to shoot. It will primarily be used as a range gun, but I would like something that I can carry if needed. I am pretty partial to SIGs and would like a P226, but at the same time I already have 3 SIGs and should probably diversify the portfolio a little. I like HKs, but usually associate them more with .40's and .45s? So what do think - which will it be?

9 mm

I have had all of the guns you have listed and I love my Beretta and my CZ 75b the best, also on the cz you can get from the factory the 22 kit which is the best 22 kit I have ever fired except the marvel for the 1911. If you get the cz and the kit you will learn to use the trigger with a 22 with low recoil and you will learn trigger control much faster with the same trigger pull and waight of the gun will be the same as well. It is a good choice.

I voted for the Sig 226. It's th ebest on your list, imo.

If you decide on diversity get the G17.

Now that you mention it

Strange, but between me and my buddies, we have 5 H&K's, and none of them are 9mms. So, I can't give you any USP 9 data, but, none of us would trade our H&K's for anything else(Well, I do have a habit of drooling over a Python I keep seeing). We have both .40's and .45's, full size and compacts. I have no reason to believe that their 9mm isn't a nice gun also. One thing though...I remember reading on another post that the .45 is +P rated...not sure about the 9mm.

Sig-Sauer P226,

in a class by it's self; cuz the Sig P228 was not listed.

Hands down, I normally recommend HK's w/o hesitation. In this case tho, since you already have a kinship w/ Sig pistols, I voted for the 226. Especially if you plan on using it for occassional carry, having a system you're familiar w/ and use to is just one less thing to worry about in a stressful situation.

226

I would probably get the 226 since you already have the 239 and the 220. All of the controls are located in the same place leaves less room for mistakes. Plus you know you like the SIG line of pistols, just get what you really want.
On your list I want the CZ 75 and the 226.

Try out the CZ 75B SA

I own one and I love it. The fit and finish are wonderful, The single action trigger is very smooth. It is different than the regular CZ 75B the beaver tail has been curved and is very comfortable. It shoots easy and shot placement is accurate. I am thinking of using it in IDPA. It is that good.

Thanks,
JD

Which Pistol

Nothing wrong with another Sig and I'll sell you my 226 with Night Sights and the Glock 19 is a good choice for something different for you but unless younhave ruled it out for some reason, buy a new Walther P 99 9mm, very impressive and a great price.Write me if you'd like any help getting one, I've got most of them.
