I used NCStar 4x32 and 2-7x32 pistol scopes (high eye relief) on a Darrell Harrison scout mount on an M44, and the 2-7x32 on a 91/30 with another Darrell mount. I liked both mounts, but I had trouble getting a proper cheek weld with any rings that didn't put the scope bell almost against the mount...and then I ran into problems with positioning the scope where the eye relief was proper! A cheek pad is the obvious solution, but I gave up and decided to replace the irons instead. In all honesty, I can accept 2.5-3in moa from iron sights better than I can accept that same accuracy from a scoped rifle, even if it is the SAME rifle!
