What Next??

OK....I've got about a grand or so burning a hole in the old pocket. I've already got an AR10, an M1A, an AK (SAR). What next for the collection. It must be an un-PC gun of course. AR15? FAL? Suggestions?

You list guns that will shoot 7.62x51 NATO and 7.62x39.

I'd go for an AR carbine that'll eat .223 Remington. Not a battle rifle, but something that will use a likely commonly available ammo.
 
.308 or 50 BMG is clearly called for, though
your just 1 grand would be rather inadequate.
HK-91 or SAR-8 or FN-FAL would be my personal choice. But they are not too common anymore.

I'd disagree. Although nowhere near the punch of "a real gun," shots through the pelvic girdle will make 'em squeal a bit & the phycological impact re "their neighbors"
does/will have a desired impact.

Don't think the .223 was ever brought into the military inventory as "a killer." Moreso to wound & tie up that extra 2-3 folks gettin' their buds outa harms way. That ties up many more re logistics than does one straight kill.

Too, an AR set up to do prarie dogs at 250+ is certainly capable of hitting a, say, 5" circle at 300.

With the l'il "mouse gun," ya just have to be a bit better on the trigger.
 
I know. I think I've got the rural scene covered with the .308, but I might need the .223 for the hypothetical urban situations.
