What model rcbs press is it

I recently found an rcbs press for sale. I don’t know what model it is.
There is a number 2 on the front of the frame were the handle screws
In to it. It is darker green. I can’t seem to find what exact model it is and how much it’s worth. The guy wants 90$ for the press. It’s in nice shape. Any info
Would be great thanks folks.

Perhaps if you call RCBS, they will be able to identify it from your description or email you pictures of the candidates.
 
RCBS added the number suffix to several of their presses. A photo would help. But if you Google RCBS Rock Chucker 2 it will bring up pictures that you can compare. They also made a Reloader Special.
 
This is a rockchucker ll. It should say RCll on the left side of the frame.

I bought this one in 1992 new.

Thanks for the help. I have other rc2’s but none of them have this number 2 like this one does. I didn’t think about calling rcbs I will try that today.
 
There should be a screw just above the "2", that screw holds the flat spring for the
primer arm. Looking at it you will see the "A" under it.

On the front of the "O" of the press you will find "RCBS" cast into the metal.

BUY THE PRESS, NOW do not pass go, do not collect any money!!

If you call RCBS, they will fall all over themselves to help you. Their warrantee is on the kit, not who bought it too. Even if you buy used kit, their warrantee applies.

There was. And I have one. Purchased new in 1984. Still have it. Still use it. Works as good today as the day it was made.

However, I just went out to the garage to look at it; and it does not have "a number 2 on the front of the frame were the handle screws in to (sic) it."

It has "RS2" running down the side of the frame. And "RCBS" on the top of the frame - near where the dies screw in.

Not sure what press you are talking about, but it doesn't sound like an RS2.

Either way, $90 is likely a good buy.
 
This thread had me go look at my RCBS Rockchukar I bought new in'77-'78.
It has RC on left side, RCBS on right side. A patent # on arm. That's it. Still works perfectly.

RCBS had/has some really great presses. I sold a used RCBS Jr. when I moved in 1986, bought another used RCBS Jr. when I relocated. I really liked the Jr., it loaded pistol and rifle including .375 H&H and .458 Win. Magnum...I never saw the need for a stronger linkage than the Jr. and it seemed to be an advantage (speed, shorter stroke), that the Jr. had over the more powerful presses. Unless swaging bullets, etc., the Jr. had enough mechanical advantage.
