I have a holster that is adequate, but want to find on that is more stable and comfortable. I have seen some nice leather, but the selection is huge. I want to use it primarily for IDPA, not street carry since I have smaller more concealable handguns for that. Thanks for the advise and recommendations.

I just picked up a "Scorpion" in black cowhide for my M40 and the fit and finish is excellent. The leather is well molded to the gun and fits real snug ... much like a Kydex.
I haven't shot IDPA with it yet, but thats what I got it for.
