what media for stainless

My old model 60 is starting to look A little beat up. I was thinking of bead blasting it but Iam thinking maby another type of media may look better.
Any ideas?

Depends on the finish you want. Jeweller's rouge and a buffing wheel if you want it to shine. Bead blasting will give you a matte finish. So will any other blasting media.

Try to find someone with a fine glass bead blaster. Try your local airport. Aircraft mechanics use these a lot to remove corrosion. I've done a number of guns and they all turned out beautiful. Spend a lot of time rinsing and blowing everything out with compressed air. You want to get ALL of that media out of there.

Just remember to remove imperfections and scratches before bead blasting or you will just end up with nice matte finished scratches.
