We have threads every couple of days asking about this or that lube... Well, let's have us a popularity contest that one can actually look at and see the numbers plainly, without having to sift through a dozen pages of opinions.

So, here's the poll. If your pet lube isn't listed, please select "Other" and list it below.

Thanks for playing along.

:) You forgot the poll

I use lubriplate (I forget the actual type) on my M1 rifle and M1 carbine, where grease is required. I also use it on the slide of my alloy framed P226. The rest of those firearms get Hoppe's gun oil

I use Remington dri-lube on my P22, because that little pistol runs like a champ when I use a dry lubricant and the Rem stuff is available locally

I was entering in the data for the poll. Took me longer than I had expected. It's there now.

And yes, you can select more than one oil.

I have all of those and more. I have to buy something when I go to a gun show. Lube, cashews and beef jerky.

I even have the glass bottle of Daisy BB gun oil that came in a kit with my rifle in 1955.

They all work, and the greases too, some a little better than others for specific applications. I like TW-25B for daily pocket carry.

New-fangled, fancy-shmancy "Gun Oil"= $12 per pint (16 ounces)
Mobile 1 synthetic engine oil= $7 per quart (32 ounces)

This one's a no-brainer for me..

A mixture of automotive oils and whatever samples I get with firearms or at gun shows. If a small bottle of something famous is on sale for a buck I might buy it and dump it in the mix. The mix probobly has traces of a dozen things on your list, although I know wd-40 isn't in there.
