What lacquer or paint?

What lacquer or paint would work best in the engraved lettering of a black Melonite coated stainless slide?

* Something that will not harm the Melonite.
* Something easy to wipe of the flush surfaces while still wet.
* Something that will hold up to cleaning with solvents and oils.

Any help would be appreciated.
