Here's a pic of my PP given to me by my dad. It was given to him as a gift from his accountant. I never did figure out what kind of finish this is... my dad didn't know either, and never asked. what do you think it is? I like it a lot, and actually want my HK P7M13 finished the same way. What is this finish, and where can I get this done to my P7?
Thank you!
Sam
I would say it was probably nickel. PP's were not made of stainless steel, until S++T & Wizzer got their dirty little hands on them. If you want a definative answer, post the picture at www.p38forum.com . Those guys are hard core Walther fanatics that know everything there is to know about Lugers, P38's, and PP's!!!
S&W has never had the chance to get their hands on the Walther PP because they have never been made in the States. No one has EVER manufactured the Walther PP under the Walther banner except Walther and Manhurin.
It could be nickle plated or silver plated. Gold was also offered, but this obviously is not gold plated.
Hard to tell if it's a factory finish or not. Looks good though.
