What kind of bear?

Dang, I was hoping at least a few would get it wrong.
Beautiful Black bear. I have never seen one that blonde before.
So the story is, many years ago I was camping in Northern New Mexico with my parents. On the drive up my mom kept expressing her concern about bears. My dad and I teased her about it and we certainly didn't follow proper bear etiquette in our camp. We went for a hike and when we returned my mom pointed to our camp and said "What's that?" I said, mom that's a bear. Her response was "I KNOW!!!"
That bear totaled our camp. My dad is the most mild mannered person you would ever meet, he showed a side I had never seen before. That bear grabbed his camera bag (The one to the left of the stump) and started to drag it off into the woods. My dad exploded and ripped off a bunch of words I had never heard him say, picked up a big stick and chased the bear off never to be seen again. Tha bear had an Oh S$&T look on his face. My dad likes his cameras.
We certainly camp more bear safe now!

I can't see enough to say for sure. Grizzly have the hump on the shoulders and are more likely to be that color. That color is possible on a black bear, but rare. If I could see the nose and face I'd have a better idea. But from what I CAN see it appears more like a grizzly than black. But then again, I don't think there should be grizzly that far south.
