What is your favorite pump gun?

I like the Mossberg 500/835's and the Remington 870's Currently own an 835 and an 870. Both great guns. My Father in Law owns a Winchester 1300 20 ga. that I like for dove hunting. It's a "speedpump" model and has a very short action.

870 Wingmaster. That's a no-brainer. That being said, I think it's safe to say that there aren't many bad choices among the most popular models. I have two 870's, one Moss. 500, one Benelli Nova. They all function well. The only gun I've had problems with is one of the 870's. The Express needed to have the slides fixed a couple of times. I have friends with Ithacas, Brownings, Winchesters. They all do the job - it's just a matter of personal preference and what you grew up with.

ya know the first shotgun i picked up was a 835. When i was 15, and i have been accustomed to them ever since. Picked up a 870 and it just felt funny compared to my 835. I can shoot a 870, but for some reason i just keep goin back to mossberg. All said and done i have put about 2000 thru my 835, and half of those are from the past 5 months alone when i really really got into trap, and the rest were from off and on use. Had very very little nuisances with the gun, nothing i would call a problem.

Ithaca Model 37 Featherlight.

It pumps smooth as silk, it can "slamfire", it has a milled steel reciever, and the slide release is actually in an ergonomic spot.

Not to mention, it was (mostly) designed by John Moses Browning.

870! It is the most versatile shotgun ever made, you can make it do anything you want. You want a HD gun? -FINE How 'bout a deer rifle? -Fine. Just a few modifications, and this gun could be the only gun you will ever need! I own a 870 Express Super Mag, I love it, shes my baby!
