What is your dream revolver?

Although semi autos are my bread and butter, I still have some love for wheel guns. There are many revolvers I would love to own, but one I've had in my mind for a long time, it goes like this: a Smith and Wesson model 27, .357 magnum with a 3 1/2 inch barrel. original all blue finish, standard rear sight, with orange/ high viz front sight, wooden finger grooved grips, a minor trigger job to make the DA pull a little smoother, full spur hammer, and carried in a beautiful customer leather, open top holster, worn strong side. Now that you've heard me drool, feel free to share your dream revolver.

I already own my dream revolver,,,

In my not-so-humble opinion,,,
It's the finest .38 Special ever built.

Not a dream revolver, but my next one will be similar to the one Strafer Gott mentioned.

I research and make things a reality vs. a dream.

dream revolver

I already own 2 dream wheelguns.A brand new condition Ruger Super Blackhawk 7,5 inch in 44magnum and a mint condition Colt Trooper in 357 magnum.
Don't need nuthin more......

One day I hope to have a suppressed 1895 Nagant with holographic sight, custom grips and worked trigger. Just for poops and giggles. :D

favorite wheels

The two most accurate and smooth action shooting are S&W model 14 6" and a S&W model 57 in 6".

What I would love to have would be a S&W model 25 with a 5" bbl in 45 Colt from their custom shop ....what an under appreciated round this is.

Does it need to be real? Or does possible count?

Real? S&W model 13, 3", round butt, hard rubber Pachmayr grip of some sort. Almost bought one off a buddy of mine once, but it turned out to be flawed. But, in my hand, it felt perfect.

Already have it. My blued, and tuned 5 1/2" barreled Ruger medium frame flattop in .45 Colt. Doesn't get any better .. no how!

I've bought most of the revolvers I thought I really needed, there's a couple more yet to snag and I absolutely love 'em and enjoy shooting them (a lot!) but I wouldn't call any of them a "dream revolver."

I have never seen a Korth in the flesh. I really, really want to see one, handle it, get a feel for it's build quality and if I believe what I've read, that could possibly be a dream revolver. I suspect (and do NOT fear!) that if/when that happens, I will make a Korth a reality, some how, at some point.

But I'll go a different route here for the end of my answer:
My DREAM REVOLVER is to conjure up something that does not currently exist. As such, my dream revolver would be that Chiappa goes belly up and in a last-ditch effort to bleed dry the turnip or pay off some bills, they sell the licensing and design of the Rhino, preferably to Smith & Wesson or Ruger, who uses their manufacturing, design and execution abilities to market the bottom-shooting cylinder revolver that actually has some manner of build quality, backed by a decent manufacturer.

The revolver can look like, well, anything. I mean to say, if it ends up being as corn-filled poop ugly as it is right now, I'm fine with that. But it simply must have a better, smoother double action trigger with more mechanical advantage and it's got to be built with some genuine quality and workmanship.

Fantasy? A 5 shot 44 mag Ruger in a GP100 size frame with Novak sights.

Reality? The GP100 I'm still working on customizing. We will see if it meets my expectations in a few months.

I have been lucky enough to be able to acquire so many of the guns that I wanted for years that I would have a tough time picking out just one.

For me it would have to be a tossup between the Python because I have always admired the way they look, and the 4" Model 29 because I like the compact power it represents.

Fortunately,I have both:
