What is this Ruger Rifle Worth??

My friend offered to sell to me his Ruger Ranch Rifle and said I can have it for what I think it is worth. He thinks it is worth $500 but I think it is worth more and I don't want to short change him as I prefere to forget the rifle or pay a little more and keep him as friend. The problem is that I don't know what this rifle is worth now days.

It is a Stainless Ranch Rifle in 223 caliber with a factory folding stock and regular wood stock. It also includes 2 factory 20 round mags, 2 factory 30 round mags and 4 generic 30 round mags. The rifle and all mags are in very good to excellent condition. He still has factory rings and boxes. I think each factory mags are worth about $50-70 each and folding stock is worth about $150.

I currently have this same rifle with folding stock and I like it a lot so I don't mind having a same second rifle. I think I paid about $500 for mine about 10 years ago.

What is this Ruger rifle worth these days????
 
Pre-ban folders with factory stock are running around $875. The Ruger-stamped mags are high, too. I think about $100-$125 each. The unmarked ate running around $30. I would buy it if I could for that price.
 
The package is worth $1000 on the best day,If he is a good friend tell him this and offer him $750, he gets more than he was asking, you get a great gun and a good deal.

I gave him $800 and agreed to try to sell the package when I get a chance and give him what ever more I can get. I don't really need this rifle at this time and he needs the money rather urgently. He ia a terrific guy and a long time friend and I value his friendship more than the rifle or the money.
