What is the round count on your Bersa Thunder .380?

Hey guys, I'm interested in buying a new .380 for target practice. At this time I'm leaning towards the Bersa Thunder. I have read great reviews on it as far as reliability, but I am curious about the lifespan on one if fired a lot. I know different factors play in such as type of ammo used, whether it was cared for or not, etc. I just want to know what to expect if I decide to get one. Please tell me about your experience with the Bersa Thunder, and if you keep track, how many rounds did you put through it before things went wrong with your Bersa? Thanks

My local range used to have one. Not sure how many rounds went through it or if they still have it still.

They are pretty good handguns. I'd trust mine to go bang every time if I carried 380. I've only got a few dozen rounds through mine and it has worked fine. If I did carry it I would have several hundred through it.

I don't know about life span, just a few hundred rounds through mine. It's a good gun very reliable, shoots really nice. I like it a lot and frankly it's the smallest gun I'll shoot. Everything smaller shoots pretty poor IMO. But for me its just s dmall carry gun, as a fun / target pistol I'd rather shoot 9mm. Cheaper and there are lots of really nice shooting 9's.

One thing I like about the Bersa .... it feels like a small 92FS. :-)

I think we have about 500 through ours. My wife shot much of that. Factory mag is great, the one promag I bought is fine. I have 4 other aftermarket stainless mags from the early days, only one of those is reliable. The 3 good mags the pistol just goes and goes, even with ammo that my p3at can't reliably work with. Recently bought another can of 500 to run through it. Ir's a nice pistol to shoot.

Honestly though...9mm is the way to go for a range/target gun. 380 is a lot more expensive to shoot and you should have more choices for a compact 9mm.

Long time at shop . . .

I have a Bersa Thuder 380 CC. Like the gun a lot but the slide would not stay back. Sent it to the recommended Bersa approved shop in late April. They still have it ten weeks later. Hmmmm . . . .

Life is good
