What is the most comfortable concealment?

I have $50 down on a Glock 27 .40 caliber until my tax refund comes in and am looking for the most comfortable holster. First of all what do most of you prefer, strongside or cross draw? Second of all, for comfort and best concealment, do I want an under the waistband holster such as the Bianchi Model 100 professional or do I want a holster that attaches with belt loops? I saw one holster that can unsnap from the belt. Is this efficient or problematic? Please Respond.

I prefer a pocket holster, but your Glock is a bit too chunky for that.
It really depends on how you dress. If you wear a sport jacket or suit, you've many options.
If I'm not carrying in a pocket holster, I use an Inside The Waistband on my strong side hip. With a sweat shirt or a shirt outside the trousers, it conceals well (has a Kahr MK 9 in it).
Be advised that if you bend over or stretch, the pistol can be exposed.

tog,
If you have not been there yet, try http://glocktalk.com/ . There are three excellent sponsors there who make holsters. Two are leather, one is kydex. I carry a G26 in a Sidearmor IWB and I like it a bunch. I am very interested in a leather holster and I have been looking at both the Waldon offerings as well as the ones from M/D.
Good luck in your search and please post your decision here.

I don't find IWB uncomfortable, but YMMV. It's hands-down the easiest way to conceal IMO.

Personally, I don't care for cross-draw. I find it slower and when presenting the weapon there seems to be an issue of covering non-targets with the muzzle.

I have three holsters for my Glock 23 that I use regularly. An IWB from Blade-Tech, A OWB from Sidearmor (both kydex) and a leather Talon Plus IWB from Lou Alessi.

The Sidearmor OWB has slots for the belt and is a fine holster, but after lengthy wear it does tend to drag the belt down.

The Blade-Tech IWB attaches to the belt via straps with snaps. It's very secure, but at least with mine, the snaps are a bear to snap/unsnap. I leave it snapped. This holster is also available with J-hooks instead of straps.

The Alessi uses a stout plastic clip that fits over the pants (under the belt). It's hard to describe, but the 'Talon' portion of the clip secures the material of the pants to the holster in such a way that you'd lose your pants before losing the holster! At the same time, it's easy on/easy off.

If you're like many of us you'll end up with several holsters that have been relegated to the sock drawer :)

If you want something comfortable that will hold its shape get Kydex. I've found no better holster in this material than www.sidearmor.com

So many pistols, so little money.

I agree with Kydex (or Concealex) as a holster material. However, if you've got some padding around the middle with something as thick as the Glock you'll have to be wearing some baggy pants if you want an IWB holster to be comfortable.

I'm very fond of *good*, high ride, paddle holsters. I like the Kramer MSP very much and think it would work great with a G27 and would be comfortable no matter how much padding you have. However, its not a holster for shorts and a t-shirt. But then, the G27 isn't an ideal gun for that wear either.

My Primary carry gun is a Glock 27. I have a box full of holsters, blade tech, Arizona Tactical supply, Galco, Ted blocker. All are IWB some are kidex and all are nice. Last Month My girlfriend ordered an Alessi holster for her G 26. It is hands down the most comfortable holster for this handgun given my size of body. 6’1” 220 lb. She also caries it with ease and is much smaller. These can be viewed at www.rfholsters.com. I now own three.

For the past dozen years or so I've carried either a Glock 21, 23 or 30 in a horsehide ST-17B from Ted Blocker, 8-12 hours a day, every day. Found what works for me, and won't buy anything else when I get a new pistola.
They have a covered steel band around the mouth for ease of re-holstering; wet formed & boned to each pistol, so hold their shape; and are about as comfortable as it gets.
[I don't work for 'em, & have no vested interest in their business]

An IWB is only as comfortable as the design. I had a problem with a pistol gouging me after a few hours when worn IWB. So back in the mid-80's I figured out what an IWB holster needed to be comfortable. M/D Enterprises now makes that holster, the YCS. It was originally designed with the rough side out and without the belt slots, that is the way I have them made, but Mark wanted to make it pretty. He is currently making two of them MY WAY for both Robbie Barkman and Clyle (can't remember his last name but he is the LE person with Crimson Trace). The holster is regularly be worn for 12-14 hours even when seated in a car with complete comfort. If you go to the GlockTalk Gear forum there is more info.

As far as ways to carry a G27, we have covered IWB. I also use an Alessi ankle holster, good if your pant legs are big enough.

Alessi also has an uncataloged holster that is a x-draw made for the RCMP drivers. Mine is done in horsehide and it is my favorite way of carrying when I wear a fleece pullover in cool weather. It is very easy to get to while seated.

For strong side OWB carry I use a BS-2 from M/D Enterprises. It is the way I carry when I wear a zip front jacket. A very high ride holster, the muzzle of the pistol stops just below lower edge of the belt allowing me to wear a waist length jacket without the pistol showing. Not very expensive and I can carry my G23 and G22 in the same holster.
